Javier Delgado Muerza | Google Travel
Technology has forever changed travel distribution, and continues to do so. This session will explore what those changes mean to the vacation rental industry and your business.
Currently Industry Head in Google Travel Spain, Javier manages one of the most important travel teams for Google travel worldwide. His main focus in this position is accelerating digital adoption, commercial efficiency and global scale with the main travel players in Spain.
Prior to joining Google in 2011 Javier spent more than eight years at Expedia, Inc. where he held managerial positions in lodging supply, air supply and white label distribution across Southern Europe and the Middle East. He started his career at Iberia Airlines and Gate Gourmet, later moving to Globalia, the leading travel services provider in Spain.
Born in Pamplona (Navarre), Javier holds a Hospitality Management Degree and a MBA degree from Cornell University (NY, USA) & ESSEC Business School (Paris, France). He is married and has 2 children.

The researchers at Deloitte’s Travel, Hospitality and Leisure (THL) division have great insight on the future of the travel. As the THL consulting lead, Jordi will inform attendees how future trends apply specifically to the vacation rental industry. This session will identify the major trends on the consumer side for the coming years and the key areas that can contribute to the success of professional holiday rental agencies.
Jordi leads the Deloitte’s consulting services in the tourism, travel and leisure industries, with strategy and operations as his main competence. He has more than 23 years of professional experience in consulting in the Spanish market, participating on global projects at a European level, with deep experience in hospitality and consumer products.
Jordi holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona. He has extensive experience in corporate and commercial strategy, mainly in the hospitality and products and services industries.
