Advocacy/Government Affairs

The Vacation Rental Managers Association is committed to working with members to advance the professional vacation rental industry. Our advocacy efforts are focused on strengthening our industry’s voice through:
  • Educating and mobilizing members to become more involved in local and state regulatory discussions.
  • Promoting legislation and policies that create a fair and equitable vacation rental market.
  • Building local and regional advocacy networks.
Currently, communities across the country are implementing short-term rental regulations that are greatly affecting the industry. In the coming months the VRMA will be unveiling a set of resources for members to advocate in their local communities. Additionally, we will be unveiling tools to inform you on regulatory activities. Please share any information you may have regarding regulation attempts in your region so that we can ensure we are targeting issues that matter to you, our members. If you have any questions or would like to share information please contact Greg Holcomb, Senior Advocacy Coordinator,
Other resources are also available through the Short-Term Rental Advocacy Center.
