In early 2013, VRMA conducted a comprehensive member survey for the purpose of identifying opportunities to improve the association, shape VRMA’s future, and help the organization better serve its members and the industry it represents. Based on results of that survey the VRMA Board of Directors and professional staff embarked on the development of a strategic plan that will provide proper focus on those identified priorities.
As part of this plan, in 2014, VRMA's Board of Directors will be developing a strategy to establish advocacy resources for the membership and industry. As stated in VRMA’s Strategic Plan, VRMA’s Industry Value Goal is to elevate vacation rental management as a profession. To help attain that Goal, one of VRMA’s Objectives is to develop strategies that will lead the development of a strong, collaborative system at the national level and support local advocacy initiatives where possible with available resources.
As government advocacy continues to be critical to the success of the vacation rental industry, many resources are also available through the Short Term Rental Advocacy Center.
