Attilio Battaglia
Europ Assistance Holding | Sales Director- Travel & Financial Institutions
Attilio Battaglia started his career in the oil and gas industry (AGIP) in Africa. He joined Europ Assistance Group in 1986 and contributed to its international development with various positions in Operations, Sales and General Management in start-up offices. Attilio held the role of Deputy Group Operations Director (Europ Assistance Holding) from 1999 until 2002, Managing Director for Europ Assistance Poland ) from 2002 until 2004 and Managing Director for Team Trackers, a subsidiary with 250 multilingual staff specialised in CRM services to Airlines based in Prague) from 2004 until 2007.  In 2007, he joined the Group International Business Division at Europ Assistance Holding in Paris as Sales Director - Travel & Financial Institutions to support the expansion of the Europ Assistance Group in international markets.  Attilio graduated from the University of Rome in Business Administration and is fluent in Italian, French and English.

Kyle Buehner

In 1988, Kyle began working with his father, Milton Buehner, founder of what was then Buehner-Fry. In 2006, Kyle purchased the company from the family and outside investors. Kyle previously served on the boards of the Vacation Rental Managers Association and the Corporate Housing Providers Association, and is an active member of Vistage, a worldwide network of CEOs.

In his role as Director, Government Relations for HomeAway, Inc., Matt works with owners, managers, governments, universities and think-tanks examining best practices in the short-term rental industry. He understands that a smart community can have a vibrant short-term rental industry where owners and managers add to the community and operate within fair, reasonable and easy-to-understand regulations. He previously has worked as a consultant on a number of local, state and national political campaigns in the U.S. including campaigns for President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama. Matt has worked on a initiatives including best practices facing cities, and on government relations issues and challenges facing the central Texas transit system. He managed several initiatives including Economic Development, transportation, creative industries and housing.

Appointed as General Secretary for EHHA in 2013, Carlos also is CEO of the Danish association of holiday homes where he has been building experience of the holiday home sector for five years. Before that, he was director of communications in the Danish Chamber of Commerce. Approximately one in four European travellers has stayed in a rented holiday home during the past year. But the holiday home sector is fragmented, giving the political voice to other parts of the tourism sector. To secure a balanced discussion in the tourism debate the big holiday home rental companies in Europe founded the European Holiday Home Association (EHHA).  Carlos has a Master in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.

Michelle is a respected veteran of the hospitality industry with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of positions within multiple types of companies in the industry. As board president of the Bend Visitor and Convention Bureau (VisitBend), Michelle steered a complete repositioning and strategic rebranding for the city. In 2007, after being a a NAVIS strategic products user and development partner, she joined NAVIS as director of sales. She was quickly promoted to vice president of sales. Michelle also manages The MarquisEffect, her own search engine marketing company specializing in Google Adwords management for the hotel, independent resort, and vacation rental industry.

Roel started at Google Belgium in 2008. Being responsible for the relationship with Google’s partners in Retail and Travel, he and his team focus on making the web work for them by using Google’s products in a strategic way. Roel has 13 years experience in the internet industry. Before joining Google, he was active as Business Development Director at AdLINK Media (United Internet) and worked as Business Analyst for Scoot Benelux. Roel holds a Master in Translation (NL/FR/ES) from Lessius Antwerp, studied at the Universidad de Granada and obtained a Master in Management from UAMS.

Niki is a Strategic Management and Marketing expert with specialisation in the Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure Real Estate industries. He is a part-time Doctoral Researcher at the Oxford School of Hospitality Management focused on the vacation rental industry, online reputation management, and consumer buying behavior. He is a respected consultant, keen to build capacity, share knowledge and improve performance and process of client organisations. Niki has nine years of international marketing, sales and business development experience in the hospitality and tourism industry; having worked for leading organisations, such as Marriott International and in various European countries, such as Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom. Niki studied Business Administration in Munich, Germany, and holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool, U.K..

Kirby is a veteran digital media executive, investor and advisor. Currently with Dwellable, a leading vacation rental search engine, Kirby was most recently the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, for comScore (SCOR). Prior to comScore, Kirby served as President and Chief Executive Officer of AdXpose, which created the "viewable ad impression" metric and was acquired by comScore in August 2011. Before AdXpose, he operated Ascend Solutions, a consultancy to startups and venture capital firms. Additionally, Kirby was on the founding team and served as General Manager of publishing and content for Marchex (MCHX), and prior to that, was responsible for all corporate, brand, and product marketing at Go2Net (GNET). Kirby was also a Board Director of SharperAgent, LLC, which was acquired by Market Leader (LEDR) in 2011, and invests in and advises a number of online media startups. Kirby speaks regularly at industry events, and was recently a recipient of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award. He is an active supporter of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation and a Board Director at Special Olympics Washington.
